Help us to create a world of axes!
For years, the Gränsfors Large Carving Axe has been a trusted tool for woodworkers around the world. An iconic tool, shaped in collaboration with master craftsmen.
Now, we are introducing two new versions: the Small Carving Axe and the Medium Carving Axe. Both made here at Gränsfors Bruk, with the same precision and attention to detail as always. In this first batch, the two models come with an exclusive walnut handle.
The axes are inspired by the Large Carving Axe, but scaled down to suit different needs. The Small Carving Axe is lighter and easier to handle, well-suited for beginners or those who prefer control in finer work. The Medium Carving Axe strikes a balance between the Small and the Large, offering power and accuracy in one tool.
Like the Large Carving Axe, they carry a long, curved edge and can be ordered with a standard double-sided grind or a special carving grind for right- or left-handed use. Together, the three axes form a woodcarving family: from the Large, with its strength, to the Small, with its lightness and precision, and the Medium, placed right in between.
The first walnut handle batch will be available at gransforsbruk.com and in the Gränsfors Bruk Factory Store. Happy Carving!
