Accomodation

When you are attending one of our courses, accommondation is included.

Accommodation is included in our courses and is provided in two spacious houses in Baståsen, in the village of Gränsfors, just 800 meters’ walk from the factory. The houses, called Götes and Gränsfors Öfre, offer single rooms or shared double rooms. For accompanying family members or for longer stays, we recommend the nearby Sagaliden.

THE HOUSES

The houses, called Götes and Gränsfors Öfre, offer single rooms or shared double rooms.

GÖTES

Götes is an older, red, larger house in two storeys, located approximately 800 metres upstream from the axe factory. The house has a traditional character and offers generous shared spaces.

Götes offers accommodation with four bedrooms: one larger double room with an associated anteroom/common space, and three spacious single rooms, all located on the ground floor.

The lower level also includes common areas such as a bathroom, a hall, and a spacious kitchen equipped with a large kitchen table and a kitchen sofa, suitable for shared meals and socialising.

GRÄNSFORS ÖFRE

Gränsfors Öfre is a slightly more modern house located next to Götes, characterised by yellow windows and doors.

Downstairs, Gränsfors Öfre has two furnished single rooms as well as common areas including a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and a separate toilet.

Upstairs, there is a spacious common room, a large double room, and an additional room that can be arranged as either a single or a double room.

SAGALIDEN

Longer stays before or after the course, for accompanying family or for a combined holiday can be booked advantageously at Sagaliden campsite.

Beautifully located next to Lake Storsjön, with small-scale rental of rooms/cottages and pitches for motorhomes,

Sagaliden is approx. 15 minutes by car from Gränsfors. Approx. 25 minutes by bus. Carpooling can usually be arranged. Accommodation can be booked directly on Sagaliden’s website (visitsagaliden.se) or manually to courses@visitsagaliden.se.

One overnight stay is included in our 2-day courses, and four nights for the 5-day courses and 5 nights in our 6-day courses.

You are allocated accommodation on site, in most cases in single rooms or sometimes in a shared double room.

You bring your own sheets and towels. Can be booked extra primarily for international guests by agreement via courses@visitsagaliden.se.

Other items available in the accommodations are blankets/pillows, soap, washing-up liquid, toilet paper, household utensils, etc.

If there is a need for accommodation for course participants the day before or the day after the course, it can be arranged for a supplement of SEK 395 per person and night. Please note that breakfast is not included in an extra night’s stay, you must take care of that yourself.

Extra accommodation for course participants can either be booked directly when booking the course or afterwards by contacting courses@visitsagaliden.se.

Accompanying persons can stay in the accommodations as availability allows by agreement, for an additional fee of SEK 495 per person and night.

Payment for extra accommodation for international guests is made in advance by invoice.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the houses due to allergies – but exceptions can be made for separate accommodation by agreement.
