Flowerpot Factory
Gränsfors Flower Pot Factory has a rich history that dates back to the mid-1800s when the Baståsen/Gamsäter area was known for its pottery and tile stove manufacturing. Over the years, the factory has been a central part of local craftsmanship traditions, adapting to changing times and trends while preserving its unique character.
Today at Gränsfors, we practice and wish to showcase more of traditional earthenware production. This includes using local natural clay (pure, unprocessed, and unslaked clay), preparing the clay with water from the brook flowing nearby, and demonstrating the preservation and use of wheel and plaster molds dating back to, among others, the late 1800s.
